First Fall Sickness

No pictures to post from the weekend. We had our first bout with a virus this past weekend and I can assure you it wasn't pretty. Eli came home from school Friday with a fever of a whopping 104.1 degrees. Pretty scary, huh? This lovely virus also brought in some vomitting about every 8 hours. So, not a great weekend. The hubby did let Josh and me to Starkville to the ballgame while he stayed on nurse duty. Very unselfish of him I must say! This is why I love him so! Anyway, we are now on the mend and back at school today. Josh still has a bit of nastiness pouring out of his nose, but at least it's not green, right? Maybe we'll have some beautiful shots of the well-babies! I will share with you one shot of the Gunter offspring from Easter. Come Sept. we'll have to add a new little girl to the pic. Have a good week. Oh, and you can click on any of the pictures and it will take you to my flickr page where you can look at all the photos I have in my file!

Football & A Make-Shift Boat

Josh/boat

Here we have My Josh in his "boat". I walked into the kitchen to find this and to hear him singing "Peter, James, and John in a Sailboat". I'm not sure if any of the disciples had a Power Rangers visor, but I bet they weren't this cute, either! I'm sure you all also like the lovely shot of the garbage can in the background. I aim to please.

Now for the football part. No, there were no divorces or homicides, but there were a lot of "shut-ups" and "your team is stupid" declared by the five year old. I normally do not like him to say "shut-up", but I made an exception in this case.

I also spoke, or wrote, whatever, way too soon about the fall weather. Let me tell you, it was as hot as blue blazes Saturday morning at 11:30 am. I do not know exactly how hot blue blazes is...but I can assure you it is at least 150 degrees. I have some pics of the boys to show you their red faces. Yes, I did have sunscreen....in the van. My wonderful pregnant sister went to the van at half-time to get it, so we were only medium-well instead of well-done. Thanks Juli! Anyway, fun was had by all and we are all back at home as a family...until basketball season.

Fall Weather & Football

Well, folks, down here in Central Mississippi, it is normally hot until mid-October. But, the good Lord has blessed us with unseasonably cool weather, especially at night. It has been in the mid-60's and has been WONDERFUL! We have been sleeping with the windows open and it has finally gotten cool in our one-window-unit house.

The boys have all gotten back into gear with school and we have all gotten excited about football. Most everyone that knows my family knows we are avid Mississippi State fans that do not, under any circumstance, miss a home football game. There are even many away games that we attend. We even had MyJosh's birthday party this past weekend because his birthday, which is Sat. the 9th, falls on the same day as a home game. It's sounds sad, I know, but at least he gets to go the game with us! MyEli is doing his own thing with his new year in K5, and he is quick to let you know that he is now in REAL Kindergarten. I cried on the first day, even though he went to K3 and K4. I guess it is because he is in REAL Kindergarten now, I don't know.

MyHubby is back a USM for his last year (Praise God). He told me that he thought he was going to go to Law School after he graduated. I then asked him if he was going to be a divorce lawyer, because he was going to need one. Just kidding, but I probably would kill him.

Hopefully, I will get pictures on here next week. I've been a little busy with work and I haven't been able to get my camera hooked up. Maybe I'll have pictures of the latest football frenzy in Starkville. MyHubby and I will be rivals this week with Auburn coming to town. Could be a divorce after all!
